Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi Arts Commerce and Science College Saoli, IHLR & SS Center provides clear guidelines, promote ethical awareness, and establish standard research through its Research Cell. Research cell also engages in organizing regular review committees, and conducts open discussions so as to contribute to a culture of Research and Ethical conduct in multi and Interdisciplinary research activities of the college.

Ph.D. Programme Registration Process At IHLR& SS.

• Ph.D Registration, Evaluation and Award process will be as per UGC circular dated 5th May 2016 and 7th Nov 2022 and University Ordinance No 87/2017.
• PET/ NET/ JRF is a necessary qualification.
• Submission of written Application to the Head, Place of Research for enrolment and allocation of supervisor.
• Allotment of Supervisor to the candidate by Supervisor Allotment Committee (SAC).
• Preparation of Synopsis / Research Proposal by the candidate in the prescribed format as per The Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, Ph.D. Ordinance No. 87 of 2017.
• Candidate appear before Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of Place of Higher Learning and Research, and present the synopsis and make changes if any, as per recommendation by RAC.
• RAC will be conducted by the IHLR & SS as and when required.
• Preparation of synopsis by the candidate as per the recommendations of RAC.
• The candidate will submit all the prescribed documents for registration along with synopsis. The hard copy of the same should be submitted to Gondwana University, Gadchiroli.
• The Candidate appear before Research and Recognition Committee (RRC) conducted by the University yearly twice i.e. preferably in the month of Dec/Jan and July/ August.
• After approval by the RRC the candidate needs to submit all the required documents and fees to the place of research as well as Ph.D cell (Gondwana University) as per university norms.
• Letter of Ph.D. Registration from Gondwana University and submission of required documents to Gondwana University as per registration letter.
• Candidate makes Payment of Retention Fee and submit six monthly Progress Report to Gondwana University. Candidate appears RAC every six month.
• Publication of ongoing research work in conference proceedings/ journals mandatory.
• Candidate appears for Pre – Submission by RAC and accommodate changes in the final thesis as suggested by RAC.
• Submission of final thesis and summary to Gondwana University.
• Open defense and viva-voce by external evaluator at Gondwana University.
• Issue of notification and Award of Degree in Convocation.
